As part of our commitment to creating a work environment that honors every facet of life, Sounds True employees are invited to bring their four-legged friends to the office. We are grateful for the cheerful and loving energy that comes from sharing our space with our canine companions—as many as 15 on any given day! Here are some of the dogs that regularly join us in our work and play:
Jasmine

Companion: Tami S., Publisher
Jasmine (a.k.a. “The Noodle,” “Jazoodle,” or “JPC” — Jasmine Puppy Cakes) is one good-looking dog. She is an oversized blonde Cocker Spaniel with floppy ears and silky hair and a short tail that wags tirelessly. She wears a pink bejeweled collar with a large pink crystal necklace. Little girls love Jasmine and often think she is a stuffed animal that walked off the shelf. Jasmine is unusually intelligent (one spiritual teacher recording at ST remarked that Jasmine possessed the evolutionary development of a monkey in terms of her ability to pay attention and absorb new ideas). Jasmine’s“personal growth challenge” is recognizing that food does not equal love. She has been coming to work with Tami since 2001 and counts among her best friends several beloved Sounds True employees.
Baxter

Companion: Kelly N., Associate Publisher
Baxter (a.k.a. “The Monkey”) may weigh a scant 15 pounds, but don’t be fooled: he's a BIG dog on the inside. Known for his boisterous early-morning romps through the creative department, he is always in the mood for, shall we say, adventure. Baxter enjoys raw buffalo bones, climbing Mt. Sanitas in Boulder, and barking wildly while running down the hall. He’s not so fond of baby gates, dinner being late, or getting put in his crate for barking wildly while running down the hall.
Captain

Companion: Broox P., Production Artist
Captain (a.k.a. The Captain, El Capitan, Cappuccino, Cappie, Booger, Captain Stinky Breath, Scruff McRough) is a slider 35-pound mutt from the streets of Denver, Colorado. Some say that he is half Pit Bull half Shih Tzu, but we all know that he is really a Jackabee (Jack Russell/Beagle) disguised as Sasquatch. Captain loves to play. He gets so excited to play most of the time that he whines at the other dogs in the office to get their attention. When he is not working on being the center of attention, The Captain enjoys napping leisurely around his owner’s desk. The Captain is known around the office for being one of the most hyper and sweet dogs at the True.
Savanna

Companion: Wendy A., Purchasing Manager
Savanna (a.k.a. Savanna Montana, Banana, Vanna) is seven years old and has grown up at Sounds True. She has a great office trick where she will deliver documents from Wendy to her coworkers in the office. Now if she could just learn how to drop the papers into the recycle bin we'd be making major progress. She has a loud bark but no bite!
Hawkeye

Companion: Wendy A., Purchasing Manager
Hawkeye (a.k.a. Blackjack, Blackhawk) is the newest addition to the family. He's still a puppy and loves to give a lot of wet kisses to everyone. He is learning how to become a good Sounds True dog from all of the others here. Both Savanna and Hawkeye are from the puppy orphanage Lifeline Puppy Rescue.
Bosco

Companion: Karen P., Managing Art Director
Bosco has been a fixture in the halls of the second floor for more than five years. He’s known for his dashing good looks, mellow demeanor, and ability to speak fluent Wookie. He attends all-company meetings regularly and adds his opinions when so moved. Among his favorite pastimes: chasing a Frisbee in the hall and snoozing on the cool linoleum.
Arthur

Companion: Haven I., Production Editor
Arthur (a.k.a. Arturo Lupe Sandoval or Fleem) is a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix who was picked up from the streets of New Mexico and brought to the doggie orphanage Puppy Lifeline, where his owners adopted him. Arthur loves swimming, long hikes (preferably through early-summer green meadows), harassing Basset Hounds, and stalking squirrels. In 2006 he slew a squirrel in his very own backyard. He is terrified of vacuums, pencils dropping unexpectedly to the floor, and the answering machine. He loves to cuddle. He loves love.
Ernie

Companion: Haven I., Production Editor
Ernie (Ernest), born May 29, 2008, is a Basset Hound and new to his owner and the Sounds True family. He likes cuddling with his big brother Arthur, and chewing up Crocs and the household toddler’s stuffed animals. When he isn't being entertained, he enjoys sniffing every square inch of his surroundings. He gets about wonderfully, despite occasionally stepping on his own ears. On a recent hike, three complete strangers said about Ernie, “Oh my gosh, that is the cutest dog I have seen in my entire life.”
Sydny

Companion: Kim M., Administrative Assistant
Sydny is truly an amazing dog. Her beautiful brown eyes make you want to take her everywhere with you. Sydny is a three-year-old Jack Russell mix. She weighs about 60 pounds
but she believes she is a small lap dog and still acts like a puppy. She loves to go to the horse farm every weekend and run around with the other dogs there. It does take her a while to adjust to a new person or animal but once she knows you’re not going to hurt her, she gives you all her love.
Cody & Skye

Companion: Mary K., Customer Service Team Leader
The "Twins" are Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mixes, known as the customer service flock protectors, always keeping the team in line, securing the parameters, and counting heads. Whenever someone needs a hug, Skye snuggles and Cody is right there to give advice.

Cody is a deep thinker, who says, "Skye is fun and very smart," but says she "lacks logic." Skye thinks Cody is a bit too serious. Life is all about hikes in the Rockies, frisbee and the ball, and making sure Mary is surrounded and safe at all times. Cody and Skye enjoy coming to work with Mary because they know they always have job security taking care of the customer service team. Cody might even answer the phone one day, while Skye writes the order!
Dea

Companion: Anna F., Studio Assistant
Comprised mostly of fur, Dea is often described as one of the chillest dogs at Sounds True. Her charm resides in her teddy bear face, quiet demeanor, and princess-of-the-schoolyard attitude. She gives off an air of presence, and is usually found meditating in the office (or sleeping, as some call it), or seeking out the attention of others that she so rightly deserves. You can easily find her—just follow the trail of fur! Dea enjoys hiking, camping, stalking squirrels, and pretending to ignore everything going on around her.
Fife

Companion: Kristen C., Accounts Receivable Coordinator
Fife enjoys long walks on the beach, bubble baths, candlelit dinners, and snacking between meals. Just ask her one true love, Sounds True’s very own national account manager, for whom she would leave her guardian of nine years in a heartbeat. Love REALLY knows no boundaries.
Asia

Companion: Kristen C., Accounts Receivable Coordinator
The best Heinz 57 in the world! What else can you say about this perfect angel?
